How its done
Listed below are the typical steps involved in creating an animation project
1) Consultation. Every project starts with an in depth conversation where we listen carefully to ascertain your specific needs, expectations, time constraints and budget. From the essence of your technology to your corporate vision we take the time to understand the full depth of your story.
2) Proposition. Once we have gathered enough information and adequately researched and understood the scope of your project we will put together a proposition that lays out a visual narrative of your story. This is called a storyboard, like a comic book, which clearly identifies the key concepts and visuals needed to clearly convey the narrative. This document can then be revised as necessary and forms the scope of the project.
3) Building Assets. With the scope of the project defined we can then start to create all of the 3D forms that make up the environment and objects of the world of your project. This involves modeling, texturing and rigging each 3D form and creating suitable lighting conditions. Key models are offered for review to ensure their technical accuracy and aesthetic quality.
4) Animation. With the scene set the complex process of animation now begins. Animation involves the changing of form, colour or location of forms over time. It also may introduce special dynamic effects. The animations sequences are offered in a draft format for review as the finished high quality images take more time to create.
5) Rendering. Once animation is approved the process of rendering can start. Rendering is a process where final high quality stunning images are created and compiled together to form the final animations. Rendering is time consuming and is only started when all the prior stages are agreed upon.
6) Delivery. The final rendered animation is then mastered for you in any format you require: computer, iphone, tablet, internet or DVD. We can even author a DVDs for you. Other considerations such as background music or voiceover are added into the project at this stage.
